And just like that, Christmas has come and gone. The decorations are packed away and now it’s time to give the house a fresh restart. Between hosting guests and acquiring more stuff, the holiday season can leave our homes in disarray and us feeling a bit chaotic. It’s in this moment I find myself inspired. There’s nothing I enjoy more than a good playlist and a new candle to really kick myself into high gear.
Oh, I’m skipping the new candle and going for a simple (and fun) stovetop potpourri — all the ingredients you need for this are right in your kitchen.
Happy New Year! *insert champagne bottle, glass clinking, and party popper emojis* I hope that you enjoyed ringing in the New Year. It’s officially 2019, and you know what that means: time to kick your resolutions or goals into high gear. Somehow, January 1 is symbolic and represents an opportunity to “turn it around” with a fresh calendar year.
One of my favourite holiday traditions is sending (and receiving) Christmas cards. Thanks to Rifle Paper Co. for personalising my cards with a custom illustration and their famous floral design.
Happy holidays, everyone!
Every year, I like to gift my friends and neighbours something sweet, yet simple and thoughtful. Homemade treats are a sweet way to show you care. Perfectly package, edible treats are almost too cute to eat.
Today, I’m sharing my Christmas Peppermint Bark recipe that I have been honing for several years now. It’s nearly perfect.
From luxurious to budget-friendly finds, my holiday gift guide is for him, her, and them.
Recently, against my better judgement, I downloaded an app that tracks and reports Instagram unfollowers. Why? Well, a friend on Twitter mentioned she had recently done it out of curiosity and so I think that pressured me. I’m not quite sure why, but it rattled me. Am I shallow? It’s bizarre, and I picture my mom rolling her eyes, but it’s an odd psychology. Many of us use social to maintain relationships with those we care about, although we may never interact. In short, we just accumulate contacts, then never engage them.

Happy Friday, everyone! What a week it has been. It almost feels like a blur. This week’s favourites features a lot of videos, but they’re really short, so give them a watch — I promise they’re worth it (especially the bonus clip under my favourite event)!
Autumn is in full swing and with it, I feel just a little happier. From pumpkin spice lattes to leaves turning beautiful shades of red and gold, it’s time to dust off those cardigans and take a stroll down an old cobblestone footpath. To celebrate my favourite season, here’s a look at ten of my autumn essentials.
